Valentine's to Remember

For the past two years we have had a lot of fun making small crafts and goodies for Landen's school Holiday parties. In Ohio there were only a total of 6 kids in the class so it was easy to plan goody bags. Between  some sugary treats, and some cute little hand made gifts everyone was happy. Unfortunately though, Landen is no longer is such a small class. His am class alone has 21 children in it, and his pm class has 15. Which means, I cannot afford to make such elaborate and well thought out goody bags anymore. It seriously does sadden me, because I love planning thing's like that out and Landen love's giving his friends hand made gifts. So this year although it will be different from year's past, we will make do with what we have.

I attacked pintrest with a force trying to find some good ideas. I found a couple cute ideas that I took advantage of, although some of them were a little much for so many kids. It would take about 3 full days to get everything made and done. So what we decided to wait on some of our ideas for when the kids get just a tad bit older and we would go ahead and make some extra special hand made goodies for his teachers and his bus driver. We're also going to be sending some special Valentine's to Mammaw and Pappaw Seale in Ohio and my brother Mike in North Dakota. I am sad to say though, the kids in the class will be getting Fun Dip as their Valentine's. Which is better than nothing.

This cute little flower pop was fairly easy. We cut out 4 small purple hearts, and 4 larger white hearts. Pasted them together (I didn't want to paste down the sides of the purple hearts because it would add some depth to them). I already had some paper flowers so I added that as well. These will be given to Landen's teachers and Mammaw. And there you have it a pretty little Flower Pop. Your a Blossom of a Good Friend!!

Landen is going through a a huge Super Hero phase right now. I found a link on pintrest that had something similar but it led me no where. So I simply cut an oblong circle and used some of my scrapbooking scissors and cut along the bottom of it and added a start sticker to the center. Then I cut out some goggle looking things and added them onto the tootsie pop. As Landen says on this one, " Pappaw, Your Super!". This craft literally took 5 minutes.

Here are a couple of the other cute ideas I want to keep on hand for next year, but maybe you will be able to use them yet this year!

I loved Dandee's idea to make a non-candy Valentine. A "Love Bug" Valentine. I'm sure you could go to dollar tree and pick up a bag full of some bugs. I will definitely be saving this idea for next year.

I really liked this Valentine idea and I would really love to give credit where credit is due but once again the link to this blog sent me no where. I'm going to keep this idea handy for next year as well!

Hope this helps anyone looking for some new ideas!!
