So this is How it all went down. We were on a tight budget since we saving money for our trip back to Ohio next week for the kids birthday party, so after we got to the hotel we pretty much b-lined it straight to the pool. It was so nice to just swim around all relaxed like...pshhh who am I kidding. There is nothing relaxing about watching three kids under the age of 6 in a pool. Don't get me wrong it felt great being in water and it really wasn't too bad until Landen grabbed my glasses of of my face and the lens popped out and sank to the bottom of the blue lined pool. Yes, i got it back but not until we ask brutally scratched the tar out of it trying to get it from the bottom. Love and learn, right?!
After our nice dip the pool we all scurried back up to the room to dry of and change into some warmer clothes. Then rushed off to go get some free food...well and to watch some baseball I suppose. The company that was holding the good show the next day were the ones doing all of the cooking and demos at the game. They had an outrageous amount of food too. Even went as far too have free beer. I'm not a big drinker, but there sure were plenty drinking! The day was starting to get closer cooler and the kids were starting to complain about being cold, so we decided to leave after the 3rd inning...but not until after we sampled the dessert table!
At the baseball game in Myrtle Beach
As we headed back to the hotel we tried to brainstorm about what we could do when we got back to the hotel...hands down the kids decided they wanted more pool time. As the night dwindled down we got our three little tikes out of their wet suits and tucked tightly into the bed next to us. It took quite a while for Kayla to get settled in..so long that at 2:00am mommy got up with my sweet little miss and took a walk. I knew there was no going back into the bedroom with her as she would most definitely wake everyone up. So I pulled out the hideaway bed and tried to go to sleep. I think we may have finally fallen asleep around 4:00am.
Mark left to go to his food show, and so the kids and I headed down stairs to get some breakfast. The staff at the restaurant were all wonderful. It was a buffet so they helped me with the kids plates. Huge help for a mom with three kids by herself. Afterwards I decided to take an even larger plunge and head out to the beach while we were waiting on Mark to get back.
After we got our fill of the beach, we headed to friendly's for a late lunch/early dinner and some yummy dessert for Carter's birthday.
Perfect ending to a great mini holiday that was for the most part...FREE!
