Orthodontist Love

I feel like a lucky mom to have a child who LOVES going to the dentist. I feel even luckier that we go to such a great office. We're literally in there all the time. They know us by name. Dr. Baker is the sweetest and Landen absolutely loves her, but he equally loves his orthodontist Dr. Katie. I have a serious fear of the dentist. I wasn't lucky enough to have a friendly orthodontist when growing up. He was quite the opposite actually. This clinic is definitely a godsend.

On our way to the dentist today
Last week we went in to have Landen's expander put in, but unfortunately the glue wouldn't hold and it just wasn't fitting right. He really wasn't liking the taste of  that nasty glue. We went back in today to get it put in with a different kind of glue. After about 2 minutes it was put in. Super quick.

Dr. Katie made a deal with Landen that when he gets the expander out, she would get him two tickets to a movies with popcorn (since he can no longer have popcorn for a year- it's devastating). Honestly, what other doctor do you know that would do this? They really are all amazing.

He didn't realize Dr. Katie was sitting in the chair across the room, when he outwardly said "I just love Dr. Katie, she's so so nice". Then I said well she's sitting right there. His cheeks turned red and he went over and gave her a hug.

Check 'em out!

  1. Aww, he is such a sweet young man, and look how tall he is getting! We better hurry and get back up there to visit soon before they are all taller than me! 😍
Best wishes with the expander Landen! When will he be getting braces? Or will he need them once the expanders do their work?

    1. He will wear the expanders for a full year. 6 months of spreading the teeth and 6 months to make sure they stay. Then we'll talk about the braces. They said he will definitely need them. We've already been told Carter will need them as well. Not sure about Kayla yet. lol
